Company Director \\ Maddy Lewis
After achieving a BA honours degree in acting and theatre studies in London 2000, Maddy went on to work as an actress in the UK and Canada. In 2004 Maddy then focused on working as a Executive/Producer and Director gaining extensive theatre experience in Ontario, Canada. She then took on the initiative to open the company Easy Tiger Productions upon her return to the UK.
Easy Tiger Productions was offically opened in 2005. In this year, the plays Trainspotting and Streets were sucessfully produced for the stage. Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting ran at the Arts Court Theatre, Ottawa Canada and Maddy's newly written play Streets was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Maddy also wrote Streets as a screen-play which is currently (2009) being produced as a film. Front Street Pictures Vancouver, Whatever Productions London and Tribeca Film Studios New York are supporting this feature.
In 2008 Easy Tiger produced Richard Zajdlic's British play Dogs Barking which ran at the Toronto Fringe Festival before transferring to the Baby Belly Venues at the Edinburgh Fringe. Irvine Welsh's play Ecstasy was also produced for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that year, gaining 5 star reviews and proved to be a hugely popular.
Whilst funding and directing shows Maddy enjoys to teach in her spare time and has taught some workshops organised by Easy Tiger Productions. She has also taught acting workshops in Ontario Canada and is sometimes booked as a private acting coach and freelance Director in London. Maddy is currently working as a producer in film development and production and splitting her time between Los Angeles and London.
